This place is dedicated to one of most beautiful islands in Polynesia. It’s called „the pearl“ since the times of Captain Cook, but the real name of this place is Bora Bora. Bora Bora was created by a volcanic activity. It is located 260 kms far from Tahiti and together with other islands and atolls it belongs to French Polynesia. It is the second oldest Island, after the Island of Raiatea.
The highest peak of the island is Mount Otemanu (Mountain of the bird, 727 meters) and from it’s top you have a beautiful panoramic view all over the place. Bora Bora is surrounded by tiny islands, white sand beaches and crystal clear ocean, with a rich underwater life.
Most people live is on the west coast, in the Vaitape resort, which makes it the busiest place on the island. Another resort is called Matira, and is located on the south.
Bora Bora is the prefect place to be: you can lie on the beach the entire day, or you could be scuba-diving while shark feeding. Of course, activities as water-skiing, windsurfing or free-diving are possible too. See Bora Bora from the bird’s eye-view can be done by helicopter or take a boat trip the nearby “motu” islands (Toveiroa motu, Tapu motu, Ome motu, Mute motu, Piti Aau motu, Toopuamotu). Isn’t this a dream?
